Ultra Fury's Origin and Past

The band all started on the evening of Friday, September 7, 2002. Wesley had always dreamed of having this band, and made the first touches on the smash hit switchblade in May of 2002. On September 6, 2002 it was one of our first days of gr.8 at William G. Davis. Wes was in Sean's class in 8-8, and Steve was in Dave's class in 8-5. Dave and Steve used to talk alot in gr.4, so they continued their conversations, however Wes and Dave used to be best buds before they had got seperated through classes in past years. When Wes said hello to Steve on that day, Steve was with Dave and so a conversation was brought forth. Soon enough Wes and Dave had plans for Wes to come over the next day. A day later Wes had asked Dave if he should bring over his guitar since David played the drums. And Dave said sure. Wes later at Dave's house showed him some of his skills on the guitar when he played Fat Lip by Sum 41, Dave was impressed. Dave told him he couldn't play that song because he didn't have a double foot pedal. But David did know Whats My Age Again by Blink 182 and Wes and David jammed together. Then suddenly the idea of a band popped into both of their heads."We should start a band" they both agreed on. So then began the creation of Switchblade and they decided on the name Ultra Fury to explain their genre of rock. They completed it that weekend and now needed to complete another acheivement to find the band members to invite into the band. Wes had a feeling that Stephen Hall would be a good candidate for this position and asked him if he would like to the following week. Steve gladly accepted but wondered but he should do since he couldn't play an instrument yet. He was assigned to bass guitar at first, but then Wes and Dave realized that to fulfill their style they needed another person in their band. Many of their good friends had been considered but they didn't want to invite another unexperienced person. After a few months Wesley had discovered that Sean Schwartzentruber in his class had played bass guitar and seemed like a good friend. Dave didn't hesitate for a second and soon Sean was a member of Ultra Fury. Steve later was permanently assigned to back-up guitarist and the band was completed. Wes had tried at a band practice to teach Steve how to play guitar, but since Wes had not been trained from an expert he didnt know where to start. Steve had later accepted lessons and soon could follow along tabs and play with the band. Our first lyrics for Switchblade were completed by Dave and Wes shortly after this and were considered weak but it had to do for now. Dave and Wes had made up better lyrics to switch blade about 2 weeks before the davis talent show.Wes practised for weeks to get these lyrics memorized and ready to sing and play at the talent show but when it came time to audition wes didn't think he was ready enough to sing so for the talent show he didn't sing. During the summer we didn't have many band practises because we were all so busy Dave with his duck hunting , Steve with his workin ( he works at harveys lol )  sean was at his cottage alot and well wes was busy with camp and going to london and ottawa, but he was the one who was mostly free, only because he gave up other plans for practices. So finnaly after the summer was over they got together alot more.
       Seans brother has a band with there own C.D's and everything ( the band is  dim light post). dim light post is having a concert on halloween and ultrafury was gunna ask seans brother if we could perform our best song  SWITCH BLADE  but we never asked yet so we will ask for next concert.   ( more coming soon)
